Centre Based Table Tennis CCA
The Centre-Based Table Tennis CCA is a collaboration among four schools: Yuying Secondary School, Bartley Secondary School, Peicai Secondary School, and St. Gabriel’s Secondary School.
The objectives of the CCA are:
· improve physical fitness by enhancing hand-eye coordination, reflexes, and overall agility, while fostering mental skills such as focus, concentration, and strategic thinking
· enhance social interaction by promoting teamwork, collaboration, and sportsmanship, and to cultivate discipline and perseverance through consistent practice and resilience
· encourage a healthy lifestyle by promoting regular physical activity as a means of stress relief and supports the development of a competitive spirit through participation in tournaments and matches
· teach technical and tactical skills, including mastering strokes, spins, and strategies, while fostering a lifelong appreciation for table tennis as a recreational and competitive sport.
The training details of the CCA are as follows:
· Tuesdays: St. Gabriel’s Secondary School, 3.30pm to 5.30pm
· Fridays: Bartley Secondary School, 2.30pm to 5.30pm
Students will be given the exposure to take part in friendly matches and competitions to hone their skills in the sport.
